Snow, Water and Ice

Old town Västerås
View towards the older quarters of Västerås.

  1. Almost a sepia image with the natural brown tones – really like how the eye is guided by the lines of the buildings and frozen river.

  2. Love this great composition and b&w.
I wish you all the best for 2010!

  3. Great work!

  6. Wish you all the best for 2010

  7. I feel like I\'ve been there, Frida. The first thought I had was Brugge…with the buildings so close to the water\'s edge. It\'s a lovely scene for winter, especially the icicles.

  8. What a beautiful season , Frida, in back of computer 😉

  11. A wonderful wintry scene. Love the warm tone of your post processing. Very nice.

  12. Great angle you chose.

  13. Great composition. Love the ice hanging off the building, you can so feel the cold coming off the photo. The processing adds to the impact of the photo. Nicely done.

  14. brrrrrr

  15. What a fine picture: curved water way with ice, icicles, picturesque housing… a great winter scene.

  16. It looks treacherous. The processing does make it seem colder and it also ages it.

  17. Nice view. The processing makes it look even colder.

  18. Very good! Love the sepia-ish processing.

  19. Such a peaceful..beautiful canal scene. Love the sepia-like processing.
