It has been said that time heals all wounds. I do not agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue, and the pain lessens, but it is never gone.

Yeah, not even sure that time wounds all heels, either. Some things change our course but cease to wound us, may even strengthen up. Strain is no gain but pain isn’t just in hiding but sometimes genuinely gone.
